Every Saturday Night: Red Rock Ramblers Summer Square Dances, The Red Rock Ramblers Summer Square Dance Club. 50th Year of summer Saturday Square Dancing at the Lyons Elementary Gym, 4th & Stickney, in Lyons, Colorado Dances will be held every Saturday night thru Labor day, with a Sunday Special Plus on August 31st, to close the season. Rounds at 7:45pm and squares at 8:15-10:30p.m. All dancers as well as spectators welcome The Saturday night dances include a square dance to a popular\professional caller each Saturday, such as: Dave Guille-Wyo; Jerry Haag-Wyo; Tom Roper-Az\Ne; Jerry Junck-Ne\AZ; Dan Nordbye-Az; Jon & Deborah Carroll-Tex; Dean Dederman-ne; Dee Dee Dougherty-Mn\Az; and Lanny Weakland-Ne. 1st: "Fastest Fingers in the West" : Flutist Performs at The Stone Cup in Lyons This one hour performance features Colorado newcomer [and Lyons resident] flutist Patricia Dominowski, performing works of Bach and Telemann. The program will also include alto flute and piccolo in pieces that have connections to mythology, folk tales and foreign lands. The concert is free and open to the public, but seating is limited at The Stone Cup. Donations accepted.

28th: Home Weatherization Basics & Beyond : The Easy, the Ugly, and the Sweaty!! The "easy" things you can do to lower home energy costs are free, and can save a bunch! With a little "sweat" and modest investment, there are other things you can do to make your home more efficient. You may or may not want to attempt the "ugly" tasks yourself, but you should understand the how and what about getting them done right. This workshop will help you sort it all out! OPTIONAL: Prepare yourself for the class by bringing specific information about your annual home gas and electric consumption, to begin analyzing your own energy use patterns.
With Charlie Richardson from HomewoRx. Charlie is a certified building analyst, energy auditor and weatherization expert will share his 20 years experience of residential energy problem solving.
