Join us for the 2008 Lyons River Run 5K in beautiful, historic Lyons, CO. The River Run 5K has grown into a strong annual community event with number of participants exceeding 550 runners and walkers for the past three years. To add to the enjoyment the Lyons River Run 5K will be held on the final day of the 32nd annual Good Old Days Celebration.  Please join us for an exciting, enjoyable, scenic race and take advantage of the numerous attractions at Good Old Days. Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. with the race getting under way at 8:00 a.m. Please be sure to register early, as this year's race will be limited to the first 800 entries. Prizes for the top three male and female finishers in each of the nine age groups will be given. The overall male and female runners will receive $150 each. The awards ceremony will be held on the Raul Vasquez Community Stage in Central Sandstone Park after all race participants have crossed the finish line. Music, food and entertainment will be available following the awards and parking will be available in Meadow Park, Bohn Park, or on the North end of town on side streets where parking is allowed. |

Proceeds from the Lyons River Run 5K are used for local youth sports scholarships and to help support the Lyons Tree Board. The Lyons River Run 5k is part of the exciting Boulder County 4 Race Series including the Longmont Sunrise Stampede, Joe Colton Off Road Adventure, Lyons River Run 5K and the Neder-Nederland. Competing in these races makes you eligible for one of a series of fantastic prizes, including a $1000 Grand Prize. The more you compete, the more your name is entered to win! |
